To ensure that qualified and capable individuals are selected to serve the municipality, the Local Government Unit of San Nicolas recently conducted an interview and deliberation session for applicants vying for three vacant positions: Budget Officer I, Engineer I, and Planning Officer.

Mayor Alicia Primicias-Enriquez led the panel as Chairperson, joined by Hon. Rosewill “Queen” De Castro, Ms. Tabitha Andrea Ylarde from the Human Resource Management and Development Office, and Engr. Cristopher Serquiña. Also present to provide insights were department heads Engr. Normandy Flores (MPDC/MEO), Sir Richard Rae Prestoza (Municipal Budget Officer), and Mr. Eddie Matteo (MENRO). The secretariat was handled by Tourism Officer Marc Angelu Victor.

Four applicants were interviewed for the Budget Officer I position: Edrin Boncille, Mark Harry Curate, Jamaica Fragata, and Jethro Aaron Lagula. For the Engineer I post, Kristel Kate Ortiz and Jimmy Javar presented their qualifications. Meanwhile, Mark Harry Curate and Neil Alimorong applied for the Planning Officer role.

The panel carefully assessed each applicant’s background, skills, and potential to contribute to the goals of the local government. This process reflects the LGU’s commitment to transparency, merit-based hiring, and strengthening public service in San Nicolas. Final selections will be announced after thorough evaluation and recommendation.
