The Municipal Agriculture Office has officially launched its Veterinary Medical Mission for large and small ruminants, with initial activities held in Barangays Nagkaysa, Sobol, and San Felipe West. The mission, which runs until November, aims to strengthen animal health and support local livestock raisers through free veterinary services.
On October 20, 2025, the team began its rounds in Barangay Nagkaysa. Four cattle were dewormed and supplemented with vitamins, while 16 goats received deworming treatment and 13 were given vitamins. Three livestock raisers were served during this initial visit.
The following day, October 21, the mission continued in Barangay Sobol. 23 cattle were dewormed and 26 were provided with vitamins. Two carabaos received both deworming and vitamin supplementation. 13 goats were treated and supplemented, benefiting a total of 24 raisers.
On October 22, the team proceeded to Barangay San Felipe West. 62 cattle were dewormed and 30 were given vitamins. Three carabaos received full treatment, while 53 goats and sheep were dewormed and 26 were supplemented. 22 raisers were served in this barangay.
As the mission progresses, more barangays are expected to benefit from the program. The San Nicolad local government through the Municipal Agriculture Office remains committed to promoting livestock health and improving the livelihood of farmers through sustained veterinary outreach until the end of November.
