BRIEF SOCIO-ECONOMIC PROFILE
Camindoroan is a barangay west of poblacion sprawled along the Agno River in the western side. Most of the people, are hardworking farmers, pottery makers and regular employees of both public and private enterprises.
The name of the barangay was taken from the name of Lakay or Ka Mindoro, a brave and hardworking peasant from Dingras, Ilocos Norte, who, with a handful of relatives, friends and neighbors, migrated to the westernside of San Nicolas. His primordial purpose in coming to San Nicolas was to evade the Spanish authorities who got mad of his apathy and defiance to subject himself
to the Spanish authorities in the Ilocos during the first decade of 19th century.
Ka Mindoro and his men found refuge in the swampy portion of the barangay. People later called the place Camindoroan in his honor.
