Children of San Nicolas celebrated the most significant festival in the Christian calendarβ Easter Sundayβ a day of joy, hope, and celebration. They commemorated the resurrection of Jesus Christ after his crucifixion on Good Friday.
With their eyes shining with anticipation, the little ones eagerly searched in the Agpay Eco Park and Municipal Plaza for the Egg-Citing and Easterrific Sunday treat. They delightfully joined the easter egg hunting, egg painting workshop and exhibit, pop-up booths, and chalk art by #ArtBeat artists.
Siblings Ma. Carnolai and Matteo Pio Magbanua of Brgy. San Felipe West recounted this great and memorable learning experience.
βI enjoyed it a lot. It was memorable as it was my first egg hunting activity. I happily spent it with my brother and friends. We also had a painting activity where I got to showcase my artistic skills,β Ma. Carnolai said.
Matteo Pio also grinned from ear to ear when he won in the egg hunting activity. He said that he enjoyed hunting and painting eggs with intricate designs and wished the local government to continue creating programs such as this for the benefit of the San Nicolanian children like him.
In the midst of the festivity, children learned about love, sacrifice, and the promise of new beginnings. Easter Sunday is more than chocolate eggs and bunny talesβit’s a celebration of hope, redemption, and the triumph of life over death.
