Established in 1998, the Gawad KALASAG has been the NDRRMC’s way in recognizing excellence in disaster management and humanitarian assistance. It encourages commitment and support from government by acknowledging the outstanding contributions of our DRRM practitioners. Furthermore, this award also promotes volunteerism, especially during response period, involving various entities.
