As I stand here today, witnessing the completion of the Malilion-Poblacion Road Project with my heart brimming with happiness and my eyes filled with tears of joy, I can’t help but feel a deep sense of gratitude and nostalgia. This road, which now stands as a testament to our town’s determination, was once just a shared dream between Kapitan Zaldy Rodrigo and I during the planning and development stage.

With a heart heavy with the bittersweet ache of his absence, I offer a silent prayer for Kapitan Zaldy, looking out towards the Bitin Bridge—a place where we once stood together, mapping out our dreams for a better future. I pray that he is looking down upon us with a smile, knowing that his vision lives on in every inch of this road, in every heart touched by his kindness and leadership.
