Back then, it was a hidden paradise known only to locals. A place where very few dare to visit, a beauty concealed and only seen by those who’ve once been captivated by it. Nobody cared about the cloistered Eden that lies deep within the mountains of San Felipe East. Now, the majestic Pinsal-Agat Falls is a dream destination for everyone.
Through Facebook posts and the promotion of the San Nicolas, Pangasinan My Home My Pride, Pinsal-Agat Falls became a hit. It suddenly became so famous that everybody wanted to see its glory.
The roller-coaster hike on the dangerously dense forest, narrow, steep two-hour long trail is an intense journey you’d have to try before you witness the magical falls. It was a hike that lets you feel like giving up. But all the exhaustion and body pains are all worth it once the breathtaking view of the towering falls meets you. The ethereal falling water will surely take away all your pain and replace it with awe and amazement.
It is a memorable visit for anyone who has been awestruck by Pinsal-Agat Falls.
It is not accessible by road because it is located in quite a remote area which explains its relatively late discovery.
It is recommended that any tourist may bring a hat, long trousers, long sleeve shirt, extra shirts, insect repellent, camera, swimming suit if you plan a jungle walk.
It falls in thick sheets from ridges high above. The water is clean, clear, pure, and unpolluted. It flows swiftly over the weathered rocks and thick moss. Water bugs walk on the surface, aimlessly wandering like vagabonds in all directions.
The scene indicates the unblemished purity of nature when not ravaged by human habitation. It represents the vitality, spirit, and enjoyment of nature. The air is damp and moist. The smell is of trees which surround the waterfall and of the soggy, wet air. The sound of flowing water is all that can be heard. The water, making its way around, over and through the rocks, makes a beautiful noise.
The many beautiful aspects of the scene conceal this minuscule flaw of perfection. Small plants and algae are on the rocks.
The whole area brings an uplifting feeling. It is an area to connect with your inner soul and to raise your spirits. A place to sit, daydream, and simply enjoy the uniqueness of peaceful, serene nature which is becoming rare.
