PAFR TSgt ๐๐จ๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐๐จ๐๐จ๐ฌ, president of Survivalist Philippines and Philippine Coast Guard-certified rescue trainer, serves as the head trainer of the intense and challenging program tailored to capacitate the participants with the tactics and techniques on water safety, survival and rescue basics that they can download to their respective constituents. He used to be a part of the PAFR Rescue Group based in Boracay Island and served as Search and Rescue (SAR) Supervisor of Pangasinan PDRRMO under the command of Ret. Col. Rhodyn Luchinvar Oro.
“We are now facing more disasters than wars, and most of these disasters are water-related emergencies due to increased intensity of storm surges and flooding due to global sea level rise. Not to mention the day-to-day water-related emergencies we are facing because of the presence of so many water bodies in our midst that act as magnet to people from all walks of life. Therefore, we need to build an army of Water Survival Champions to prepare our communities to hurdle this emerging challenge of our time,” he noted.
