Two farmersโ cooperatives and associations (FCAs) in San Nicolas were awarded farm machineries as part of the Mechanization Component of the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) under the Department of Agriculture-Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization (DA-PHilMech).
Mayor Alice, together with representatives from the Department of Agriculture and Municipal Agriculture Office, led the awarding ceremony.
The lady local chief executive prompted the value of enriching our farmlands for it to progress and urged the beneficiaries to take good care of the equipment being given by the counterparts from the national government.
โI am very much happy that our town was once again given this opportunity of having those new types of machinery for us to upgrade our farming process. I want to urge our beneficiaries to use these tools wisely with extra care for these are entrusted to us,โ Mayor Alice shared.
She then expressed her gratitude to the PhilMech and the Department of Agriculture (DA) as well as to Congresswoman Marlyn Primicias-Agabas for providing assistance to the farmers of San Nicolas.
Also present at the turnover ceremony were Committee on Agriculture Chair Councilor Jun Serquiรฑa, IPMR Felixfrey Lorenzo, Brgy. IPMR Agustin of Fianza, Brgy. IMPR Tagapong of Sitio Kabayabasan, San Felipe East and other members ng tribal community .
