Mayor Alicia L. Primicias-Enriquez emphasized the collective efforts and dedication of Department Heads in delivering public service for achieving the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) during the SGLG Evaluation and Assessment, 15 June 2023.
The Seal is a recognition for the LGU’s journey towards good local governance. It is both a symbol and responsibility to relentlessly uphold the standards of transparency, accountability and service delivery. Governance areas assessed are Financial Administration, Disaster Preparedness, Social Protection & Sensitivity, Health Compliance & Responsiveness, Sustainable Education, Safety Peace & Order, among others.
The DILG Regional Assessment Team headed by Team Leader LGOO VII Melinda M. Buada also stressed that the accomodation, preparedness and unity of LGU San Nicolas is a strong testament to the good leadership of Mayor Alice; she also expressed how their team was really amazed and surprised at how developed and fast progressing San Nicolas now is – that it is one of the best municipalities that theyβve seen not only in the Province of Pangasinan but also in the whole of Region I.
βThose words are affirmations and source of inspiration for us to improve further and work harder for San Nicolanians,β Mayor Alice sincerely responded.
The whole LGU San Nicolas team is indeed grateful as all their hard works paid off and is now looking forward to an affirmative response from the DILG as they are now recommended to be awarded of the SGLG.
