Emphasizing that community clean-up is important in creating a cleaner and more sustainable planet, Mayor Alicia Primicias-Enriquez has lauded the concluded clean-up drive conducted by the residents of Brgy. Poblacion East in partnership with the DENR and the local government unit.
Quoting the famous words from Margaret Mead, an American anthropologist and advocate, who once said, โ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ง ๐ช๐ฃ๐๐๐ง๐๐จ๐ฉ๐๐ข๐๐ฉ๐ ๐ฉ๐๐ ๐ฅ๐ค๐ฌ๐๐ง ๐ค๐ ๐ ๐จ๐ข๐๐ก๐ก ๐๐ง๐ค๐ช๐ฅ ๐ค๐ ๐๐ค๐ข๐ข๐๐ฉ๐ฉ๐๐ ๐ฅ๐๐ค๐ฅ๐ก๐ ๐ฉ๐ค ๐๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ ๐ฉ๐๐ ๐ฌ๐ค๐ง๐ก๐. ๐๐ฃ ๐๐๐๐ฉ, ๐๐ฉ ๐๐จ ๐ฉ๐๐ ๐ค๐ฃ๐ก๐ฎ ๐ฉ๐๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ฉ๐๐๐ฉ ๐๐ซ๐๐ง ๐๐๐จ,โ Mayor Alice underscored that for people of Poblacion East to come together to tidy up their neighborhood can have a big impact on their community, as well as the environment.
A clean-up brings about a sense of communal collaboration and responsibility and it is a good indication of San Nicolaniansโ awareness on their surroundings. โRegular holding of civic activities of this kind, I believe, can lay the groundwork for future waste-reducing efforts,โ she said.
โNatutuwa po ako at marami na sa ating mga kababayan ang nagpapakita ng sense of responsibility para sa kalinisan at kaayusan para sa ating paligid. Sana ay mamultiply ang mga ganitong aktibidad at gayahin ng iba pa nating mga kababayan,โ natutuwang pahayag ni Mayor Alice.
Mayor Alice also hailed the efforts of the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office headed by ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ข๐ ๐๐๐ญ๐๐จ, which is the key factor in the conduct of the clean-up activity in the municipality.
โLetโs keep up the pace at sana maging regular na ito hindi lamang sa Poblacion East kundi sa lahat ng ating mga kabaryuhan,โ Mayor Alice said noting that as the summer approaches, people would definitely be spending most of their time outdoors and it would be a great way to enjoy the outdoors especially when it is clean and tidy.โ
