The Municipality of San Nicolas actively took part in this yearโs celebration of ๐๐จ๐ซ๐ฅ๐ ๐๐ง๐ฏ๐ข๐ซ๐จ๐ง๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐๐ฒ on June 5 which bannered the theme, โ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ๐กโ๐ฌ ๐๐๐ซ๐ญ๐ข๐๐ข๐ฉ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐ข๐ง ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ซ ๐๐๐ฌ๐ฉ๐จ๐ง๐ฌ๐ข๐ฏ๐๐ง๐๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ฆ๐๐ญ๐ ๐๐ก๐๐ง๐ ๐ ๐๐๐๐ฉ๐ญ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง.โ
Mayor Alice underscored the vital role of the youth as stewards of natural resources and drivers of positive change which is why it is not only important that their voices are heard but also make sure that they will help plant the seeds of curiosity among their ranks to help address the pressing issues and challenges arising from hazards of our time such as earthquakes, floods, and landslides.
The yearly celebration, considered the largest global platform for environmental public outreach and is celebrated by millions of people across the world, is being led by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).
