To enhance the allure of San Nicolas as a prime tourist destination, the local government unit (LGU) of San Nicolas has joined forces with the Provincial Tourism and Cultural Affairs Office, a collaboration which aims to develop innovative strategies that will attract more visitors and enrich their experience in the town.

The meeting, held at the Mayor’s Office, was a brainstorming session that brought together key figures from both the LGU and the tourism office. The agenda was clear: to identify more unique cultural and natural assets of San Nicolas and to leverage these to boost tourism sustainably.

One of the main topics discussed was eco-tourism through Agpay Eco Park and the ongoing initiative to build Tourism Information Center that would allow tourists to explore attractions with proper orientation and information.

Another significant point of discussion was improving infrastructure to accommodate the anticipated increase in tourists. This includes upgrading roads, enhancing public transportation options, and ensuring that there are sufficient accommodations to meet various budget needs.

The meeting concluded with a commitment to a collaborative approach, with both the LGU and the Provincial Tourism and Cultural Affairs Office agreeing to pool their resources. They plan to launch a joint marketing campaign that highlights the unique offerings of San Nicolas, targeting both domestic and international travelers.

With these initiatives in place, San Nicolas is poised to become a beacon of tourism in the region, offering a blend of natural beauty and cultural richness that promises an unforgettable experience for all who visit.

Mayor Alice and Provincial Tourism Officer Maria Luisa Amor-Elduayan led the meeting which was attended by Marco Sales – MSI, Nathaniel Darog – CAO III, Maria Beatrice Gomez – CAO I, Rainbow Elen Cabanayan, and Mykhael Tyrone Ceralde of Provincial Tourism and Cultural Affairs Office together with the municipal engineers, architects, and tourism officers.
