Best Route

1. From Manila:

A. By Private Vehicle

  • Route via NLEX and SCTEX:
  1. Take the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) and follow signs towards Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX).
  2. Continue on Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEX), and exit at Rosales.
  3. From Rosales, follow the Rosales-San Nicolas national road, passing through towns of Sta. Maria and Tayug until you reach San Nicolas.
  4. Estimated Travel Time: 4 to 5 hours (about 200 km), depending on traffic.

B. By Bus

  • From Cubao or Pasay:
  1. Several bus companies (Victory Liner, Five Star, Dagupan Bus) offer trips from Cubao or Pasay bound for northern towns like (Rosales or ‘Carmen’), Binalonan, Urdaneta, or Tayug.
  2. Upon arriving in Carmen (of Rosales town), Binalonan or Tayug, transfer to a jeepney or tricycle going to San Nicolas.
  3. Estimated Travel Time: 5 to 6 hours by bus.

2. From Urdaneta City:

   – Head north along the Manila North Road (MacArthur Highway) towards Binalonan.

   – In Binalonan, turn right onto the Binalonan-San Nicolas Road.

   – Continue driving until you reach San Nicolas. The journey takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours, covering around 42 kilometers.

3. From Binalonan:

   – From the town proper of Binalonan, take the Binalonan-San Nicolas Road.

   – Travel east for about 30 minutes (around 18 kilometers), passing through rural landscapes and smaller towns (Asingan, Sta. Maria and Tayug) before arriving in San Nicolas.

4. From Nueva Vizcaya:

   – If you are coming from towns like Aritao or Santa Fe, take the Maharlika Highway (Pan-Philippine Highway) heading west.

   – In Santa Fe, follow the Villaverde Trail (Nueva Vizcaya-Benguet Road), which will lead you to the eastern part of San Nicolas, Pangasinan.

   – This scenic route takes around 2 hours and covers approximately 80 kilometers, depending on your starting point.

5. From Nueva Ecija:

   – From Cabanatuan City or nearby areas, take the Nueva Ecija-Aurora Road (Route 8) heading north towards San Jose City.

   – From San Jose, continue north through Lupao, passing by Umingan, Pangasinan.

   – Follow the road leading to San Nicolas, which is around 65 kilometers away. The trip takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic.
