Mayor Alicia L. Primicias-Enriquez has administered the oath of office of Mr. Ramon Cayabas as the new Barangay Indigenous People’s Mandatory Representative (IPMR) of San Felipe East.
The oath taking ceremony was attended by key officials and of the IPs namely Vice Mayor Alvin Bravo; Councilor Pedrelito Bibat; Mr. Felixfrey N. Lorenzo, Municipal IPMR; Dr. Enrique P. Delos Santos, Jr., Provincial Officer; Mr. Sandy Segundo, Punong Barangay of Malico; Mr. Delbert Agustin, Fianza Brgy. IPMR; Ms. Ma. Concepcion B. Oliver, CAO I; Ms. Christine May Suyat, Nurse II, and Ms. Aurelia Cabrera, TAA I.
In her message, Mayor Alice challenged the newly-installed barangay IPMR to advocate policies and agenda for the welfare of IPs, including education, protection of ancestral domain, and preservation of culture and tradition.
Meanwhile, the Provincial Officer, Dr. Enrique P. Delos Santos, Jr., in return, thanked the local chief executive for her dedication in ensuring the welfare of the IPs as well as for her support to the activities of the NCIP.
