LGU San Nicolas headed by Lady Mayor Alicia Primicias-Enriquez were all ears during the COA Exit Conference – 05 May 2023.
LGU San Nicolas Audit Team Leader, Ma’am Gina M. De Vera, delivered LGU San Nicolas’ respective audit observations and applauded LGU key officials for being extra cooperative and coordinated during this year’s audit.
LGU San Nicolas received a generally positive review with very minimal pending compliances. The COA Team reported that the LGU consistently complied with the AOM recommendations; financial statements are fairly and appropriately presented, and that all key officials are extra careful and mindful with generally accepted accounting principles.
Mayor Alice repeatedly expressed her gratitude to the COA team for their continued guidance, assistance and support specially on matters that are brought to COA’s concern. The challenge remains as LGU San Nicolas moves onward to FY 2023 with the expectation of facing the challenges with an even more resilient commitment and stronger fortitude, more so now with LGU San Nicolas’ new, young & high caliber team.
All department heads also assured their usual timely submission of reports and commits correctness, transparency, appropriateness, and accountability of the same in the next audit years. They also asked for the untiring guidance from COA, that they may never get tired to assist and attend to their queries.
Conducted annually, the exit conference is a meeting at the end of an audit engagement where COA auditors convene with LGU key officials to discuss its annual audit report. Rightful recommendations and statuses based on official reports are given.
Before the meeting concluded, Mayor Alice noted that she recognizes the importance of COA rules and emphasized what she wants for the municipality of San Nicolas – an honest and transparent governance.
“LGU San Nicolas will work hand in hand with COA in complying with existing laws and regulations to improve policies and processes, not only for compliance’ sake, but for the people, to better serve the public,” Mayor Alice added.
