80 bags of blood have been collected today during the Bloodletting Activity of the Local Government of San Nicolas through the Rural Health Unit (RHU) in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross – Pangasinan Chapter.
The bloodletting activity, spearheaded by Mayor Alicia Primicias-Enriquez, was held at the Multi-Purpose Gymnasium.
“Umabot sa 80 bags ng dugo ang nakolekta mula sa ibat-ibang individual at grupo ng ibat-ibang government at non- government organization gayundin mula sa residente ng ibat-ibang barangay ng Bayan ng San Nicolas,” the local government said.
Mayor Alice thanked all the people who made the activity a successful one as she highlighted the importance of donating blood.
“Una, lubos kong ipinaaabot ang aking taus-pusong pasasalamat sa lahat ng mga nag donate ng dugo na maituturing kong mga bayani dahil kaya nilang sagipin ang mga pasyenteng nag-aagaw-buhay sa tulong ng mga dugong kanilang boluntaryong ipinagkaloob”, said Mayor Alice.
Meanwhile, the local government said that they will continue to conduct bloodletting activities in the future.
