Unity in providing the best services to the public has been the main focus during the Monday’s flag-raising ceremony held at the Municipal Grounds.
Inspired by Mattie Stepanek’s famous quote “Unity is strength… when there is teamwork and collaboration, wonderful things can be achieved”, Mayor Alice lay stress on the importance of teamwork to achieve goals and objectives.
“We must all work together as one to provide the best Christmas feeling to every San Nicolanians. Tayo po’y magtulungan at ating paghandaan ang taonang pailaw dito sa ating bayan”, she noted.
After the flag-raising ceremony, Mayor Alice attended to various callers and thereafter gave instructions and advices to address their concerns. She also juggled with lot of papers, mostly of which are financial and medical requests.
Also during the day, Mayor Alice took part in the 6th District Children’s Congress 2019 held at the Tayug Municipal Gymnasium.
With the theme, “Karapatang Pambata: Patuloy na Pahalagahan at Gampanan Tungo sa Magandang Kinabukasan”, Former Congresswoman Marlyn L. Primicias-Agabas encouraged the public to help every child to express and creatively articulate their rights, to showcase their talents and skills, to increase children’s participation in governance, to identify their needs and to respond to issues and concerns raised by the children. The former congresswoman represented her husband, Congressman Tyrone D. Agabas who was out due to some important meetings.
Mayor Alice together with her sisters, former Congresswoman Marlyn Primicias-Agabas and the Vice Mayor of Tayug, Lorna Primicias-Tacdol nailed a performance by singing Kiss Me Kiss Me of Ms. Sarah Geronimo.
