The upcoming Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony has been the main discussion as Mayor Alice opened the second workweek of December in a Flag-Raising Ceremony at the Municipal Ground.
Mayor Alice delivered her message as inspired by Margaret Chase Smith’s famous line, “Public service must be more than doing a job efficiently and honestly. It must be a complete dedication to the people and to the nation.”
We must be at all times committed, trustworthy and most of all we must serve with a heart”, she emphasized.
Subsequently after the flag-raising ceremony, Mayor Alice addressed her hectic office work which included the release of financial assistance to underprivileged San Nicolanians.
At noon, Mayor Alice had a meeting with all the Barangay Captains of the town to discuss the real property tax (RPT) collections. She urged the officials to help the Municipal Assessor and Treasurer’s Office in collecting RPT taxes from delinquent taxpayers saying, “Let us work together.
Mayor Alice also made a round of inspections at the Municipal Grounds to check the on-going refurbishment in preparation to the upcoming Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony.
