Mayor Alice took in stride another heavy schedule with numerous callers and a sheaf of documents to study and act on it, as well as ceremonies and conferences.

The Mayor started the day by spearheading the flag-raising ceremony wherein she underscored the needed collaborative behavior of all employees and officials of the local government, working side by side to achieve the desired goals and objectives for a better San Nicolas.

“Let’s help one another. Especially now that we cannot afford to hire additional job order employees due to the prevailing financial constraint,” she said while emphasizing, “We are left with no choice but to make the most of what we have.”

She then met with Barangay Captains of San Nicolas who made a courtesy call at her office followed by a conference with Pangasinan PESO officials to apprise her of the latest programs of the provincial government that will benefit members of the San Nicolas community who are looking for jobs here or abroad.

In between, she attended to requests for Financial Assistance and shared some legal points to callers seeking solutions to problems brought to her attention.

Later in the afternoon, Mayor Alice conducted a sight visit of the cemetery which was subjected to a comprehensive Bayanihan clean-up over the weekend. She also visited the town’s slaughterhouse to make sure that the siphoning of the clogged wastes has been carried out well.

The mayor said that keeping the old abattoir for now with some repairs is more practical and can save the govenment’s coffer because the “new slaughterhouse” is still far from being operational.
