The road shouldering and topping of bridge approach project in Brgy. Lungao that would provide safer travel to motorists is in full swing.

Mayor Alice said the renovation of the old bridge is one of their priority projects for the improvement of transport connectivity in San Nicolas.

The lady mayor said the bridge project will provide reliable and efficient travel of motorists in Ambayoan dike road connecting the said barangay to Brgy. Salingcob and the Ambayoan bridge.

“Our motorists are hard up ascending to the dike road during rainy seasons. In our initial inspection last January 2021, the bridge really needed enhancement for the safety of motorists. Thus, the project will greatly benefit the public,” she said.

Through the Municipal Development Fund, the project was completed by the Municipal Engineering Office last December 2021.

In an interview, Brgy. Captain Virgilio Lamarca expressed his sincerest gratitude to the local government for allowing them to request for projects that benefit the barangay folks. “The 6×6 meter-bridge renovation helps a lot in transporting goods and delivering services to the town proper,” Lamarca said.

Mayor Alice said that the local government is committed to fully completing all infrastructure projects as scheduled amid the continuing threat of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The bridge projects will make a significant contribution to the development of tourism and spur economic activities in the town,” she concluded.
