Rolling on its third week, the Municipal Agriculture Office reported a total of 891 pet vaccination (804 dogs and 87 cats), serving 485 pet owners in the following barangays:

January 25, 2021 (Nining: 100 dogs and 13 cats)

January 26, 2021 (San Jose: 181 dogs and 16 cats)

January 27, 2021 (Pob. East: 268 dogs and 32 cats)

January 28, 2021 (Pob. West: 89 dogs and 15 cats)

January 29, 2021 (Nagkaysa: 166 dogs and 11 cats)

As of today, January 29, 2021, the LGU has vaccinated a total of 2,357 pets.

Mayor Alice said the intensified drive on dog vaccination supports the efforts of the local government for rabies prevention and control as mandated by Republic Act No. 9482, otherwise known as the Anti-Rabies Act of 2007.

The massive dog vaccination is among the services of the Municipal Agriculture Office in an effort to achieve zero rabies case by 2021.

For next week, five (5) more barangays are scheduled to be served by the anti-rabies vaccination campaign:

February 01, 2021 (Casaratan)

February 02, 2021 (Cabitnongan)

February 03, 2021 (Calaocan)

February 04, 2021 (Cacabugaoan)

February 05, 2021 (Sta. Maria East)

The chief executive also reminded pet owners to become responsible and ensure that their pets are kept from stressful situations, such as exposure to hot daytime temperatures or confinement in a cage all day.
