Relative to the move of Philippine National Police under the helm of PMGEN DEBOLD M. SINAS to design a program that will instill DOH protocols and other necessary information to the community, the PNP San Nicolas launched today the 6-day long Coronavirus Awareness Response and Empowerment (CARE) Infodemic Drive.
Police Lieutenant Landro M. Velasquez, head of PNP San Nicolas, said the program was designed to instill DOH protocols and other necessary information on COVID-19 in different barangays within San Nicolas.
The Coronavirus Awareness Response and Empowerment (CARE) Infodemic Drive is composed of a series of socio-civic activities which aims to attain maximum information dissemination in the fight against Corona Virus 19 through conveyance of its origin, symptoms, complications, mode of transmission, prevention and help dispel misinformation.
Police Master Sergeant Leila Lyn Buena, Police Corporal Freddie Macasieb and Pat Keng Jin Mayo served as the Infodemic Drive Team Bureau Speakers. Among the topics discussed are COVID-19 and its origin, updates on the number of COVID-19 cases, and preventive measures based from the guidelines provided by Department of Health, Department of Interior and Local Government and Inter-Agency Task Force.
And as support to this timely and relevant infodemic drive, Mayor Alice and the local government provided the hygiene kits and snacks of all participants during the said activity.
The chief executive then lauded the successful conduct of the C.A.R.E infodemic drive in the town, saying…
“I commend the unwavering effort our local police force in conducting this infodemic drive to keep the public informed of the realities and facts regarding the current health crisis.”
