Mayor Alice engaged herself in an exit conference with the representatives of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) regarding the results of the validation of road clearing operations by the local government.
“As far as the validation team is concerned, the local government of San Nicolas is compliant and incurred no violations to the principles of road clearing operations set by the DILG and Task Force Road Clearing,” said the DILG representative.
“We have been adhering to the directive of President Rodrigo Duterte on road clearing operations since the first wave. And this success wouldn’t be possible without the help of my team and all concerned barangay captains for maintaining the cleared roads,” Mayor Alice gratefully conveyed.
Thereafter, she attended a meeting with the representatives of the Commission on Election (COMELEC) to discuss the voter registration of Sangguniang Kabataan. This activity will support the COMELEC’s target of four million new voter registrants by May 2022 elections.
She also convened with the Personnel Selection Board (PSB) to discuss the selection/appointment of two job-order personnel for regular employment under the IT Department.
In the continued service of the local government, Mayor Alice headed an inspection in the public market, particularly the on-going face lifting of the welcoming arch.
“Market-goers will surely have a better experience soon. New market stalls are also now in-place and the new welcome arch is nearing completion after it had supposedly been neglected for decades,” Mayor Alice proudly expressed.
Still not finished with her working day, Mayor Alice also visited the Rural Heath Unit to check the vaccine refrigerators where the Astrazeneca vaccines will be stored. Adequate vaccine storage is a prerequisite to assure vaccine effectiveness and tolerability.
For AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine candidate, dubbed AZD1222, it can be stored and transported at normal refrigerated temps of 2 degrees to 8 degrees Celsius (36 degrees to 46 degrees Fahrenheit).
