In a bid to totally eliminate the risk of COVID-19, LGU San Nicolas is regularly conducting disinfection in the municipal complex where people flocked at night to experience the magnificent and extraordinary ‘Christmas in the Park’ featuring the fabulous dancing fountain and interactive lights.

Based on the directive of Municipal Mayor Alicia L. Primicias-Enriquez, the intensified clean-up activity and disinfection of the park are being implemented twice in a day – one in the morning and one in the afternoon. The activity is carried out by the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) and Job Order (JO) personnel.

“Ang regular disinfection sa ating municipal complex ay isa lamang sa ating mga preventive measures alinsunod sa IATF guidelines. The virus that causes COVID-19 can land on surfaces. It’s possible for park-goers to become infected if they touch those surfaces and then touch their nose, mouth, or eyes. That is why I ordered the strict implementation of this measure not only once but even twice in a day,” Mayor Alice shared.

“Let me take this opportunity to extend my sincerest appreciation to the MDRRMO and JO personnel for keeping our Municipal Complex safe, clean and orderly,” she conveyed.

The public especially the visitors/park-goers is still being encouraged to be vigilant and practice proper hygiene, observe proper cough etiquette, and other public health and safety protocols amid the country reporting cases of the Omicron variant of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).
