Reporting back to office after the capability-building seminar with the Local Government Academy and the post-SONA meeting with the President, Mayor Alice, as usual, immersed with her hectic schedule which include attending to callers, a round at the municipal complex, market inspection, and clean-up activity.

Mayor Alice attended to the callers requesting for financial/medical assistance followed by her meeting with other groups including the heads of various agencies such as DOLE, NIA, DILG, PDEA , MCTC and the Provincial Engineering Office .

The PEO staff were sent by Governor Amado “Pogi” I. Espino III as part of the evaluation team on the implementation of the governor’s priority projects for the town of San Nicolas.

At the market with Mayor Alice were Vice Mayor Alvin Bravo and Councilors Kiko Bravo, Raymond Prestoza, Queen Descargar, Leomar Saldivar, and Amorsolo Pulido. The mayor has also ordered the siphoning of the market’s septic tank. She also said that the comfort room at the market needs a “full rehabilitation” as it is far from the standards of sanitation and cleanliness.

“Government officials are accountable to the public in providing them an accessible, clean, and sanitary public toilets,” she underscored while emphasizing that “we are mandated to constantly maintain these public rest rooms, and to make sure that they are fit for human use.

Also at the market, the mayor encouraged the vendors to help in the cleanup by keeping their own areas clean from trash and by segregating their own wastes.

Although there will be no penalty for those who will not help in the cleanup, she called on them to contribute to the market’s cleanliness as this is their main work area.

The mayor has acknowledged the support of Bureau of Fire Protection , the Punong Barangays and members of the Brgy. Council of Nagkaysa, Casaratan, Poblacion East and West, and the other volunteers in joining the clean-up drive.

At a later time of the day, Mayor Alice and the Pagbabago Team made a round at the Municipal Complex and were all mesmerized by the ongoing reconstruction of the Municipal Building’s façade now nearing completion
