Shortly after distributing 3,281 Holiday Packs in the first two days of gift-giving in the early morning of December 18 and 19, another set of distribution was made possible by the untiring public officials of San Nicolas headed by Mayor Alicia L. Primicias-Enriquez.
This time, the beneficiaries of the local government’s Handog Pamasko are the families belonging to Barangays Calaocan (419 families), Cabitnongan (457 families), San Felipe West (438 families), San Isidro (251 families), Bensican (225 families), Salpad ( 193 families), Malilion (375 families) and Lungao (215 families).
The sun-up to sun-down annual gift-giving program benefited a total of 2,573 families made in a single day.
“This is the 2ND year of our annual program to support our fellow San Nicolanians to augment their preparations and put additional foods on their table in celebration of the holidays. And we are proud to say that we are holding this politics-free in the spirit of the Yuletide season.
Mayor Alice assured that with the strict implementation of the IATF guidelines on health protocols, the distribution of the Holiday Packs are definitely safe for everyone.
“We will continue to ensure that health protocols are followed so we can continue to enjoy a Covid-free San Nicolas as we celebrate the Christmas season,” Mayor Alice said even as she appealed to San Nicolanian families to “Let us not tire from following these guidelines for our safety and for us all to celebrate a healthy holidays this year.”
Also included in the said distribution were the own version of Christmas gift packs given by Congressman Tyrone D. Agabas and former Congresswoman Marlyn Primicias-Agabas. Dubbed as “paMASKong handog”, each eco bag contains one box of face mask, one hand towel, one alcohol container and calendar.
