Mayor Alice led the municipal officials and employees of LGU San Nicolas as they hosted the culminating activity for the October Holy Rosary Devotion which was attended by hundreds of devotees.

The San Nicolas de Tolentino Parish held a live rosary at the municipal grounds followed by a culminating mass presided over by Rev. Fr. Farley B. Castro in front of the municipal hall.

“In the parable of the mustard seed, Jesus teaches us that all good things must start with small beginnings. It is about how we invest our lives and the gifts that God has given us,” Fr. Farley emphasized.

Meanwhile, Mayor Alice encouraged the devotees to ask Mary, our Mother, to pray for us as we seek to get closer to her Son, Jesus.

“As we commemorate this day to end our October devotion, may our religious activities that we underwent became fruitful to become closer to our Lord Jesus Christ,” Mayor Alice said.

The month of October is a good time to re-evaluate the place the Rosary has in our lives. It is very significant to the Catholics honoring the Blessed Virgin Mary, the mother of the Divine Word through meditating the mysteries of the Holy Rosary.

Pope Francis, earlier, called on the faithful to foster devotion to the Blessed Mother to ask for her protection and intercession.
