Starting with Barangay San Felipe East, being the farthest barangay with the most number of approved recipients, the electrification project of the Municipality of San Nicolas which intends to further increase and accelerate access of underprivileged families to electricity services begins today.

This was the announcement of Mayor Alicia L. Primicias-Enriquez as she reports that a total of 179 households have been initially approved in the screening process conducted by the project coordinators in-charge in identifying the deserving applicants who have complied with all the set requirements.

“It is impossible to electrify these 179 beneficiaries all at once therefore some prioritization will be necessary, which is why we decided to start with the farthest barangay with the most number of recipients,” Mayor Alice said.

She said a total of P4 Million was earmarked for the said LGU-funded project to allow the still unserved constituents of San Nicolas to also enjoy the opportunities for improved quality of life and greater access to energy especially those from the far-flung areas.

“Actually, we still have enough para madagdagan ang mga benificiaries natin pero dapat macomply nila ang mga requirements to qualify. So again, kung may interested pa ay makipag-ugnayan lamang sila sa aking opisina para ma-validate sila at maayos nila ang mga kinakailangang mga dokumento,” she noted.

Joining Mayor Alice in announcing the good news with the joyful and thankful beneficiaries were Vice Mayor Alvin Bravo and the members of the Municipal Council.
