Mayor Alice was up early morning and motored to Barangay Malico for the electrification program. She was accompanied by Councilors Raymond Prestoza, JunSerquiña and Queen Descargar.

Kerosene lamps and torches are now articles of the past for the Indigenous Peoples (IP) families of Brgy. Malico. What used to be an elusive dream for them in the mountainous area has become a reality when their request for electrification was heed and granted.

Around forty-six (46) IP households were provided with electricity assistance. The electrification is part of Mayor Alice’ commitment to the people of Brgy. Malico, with the help of Congressman Tyrone D. Agabas.

“Heto na po ang pinakahihintay ninyong lahat. Hindi niyo na po kailangang bumaba pa para mag charge ng inyong mga cellphone at flashlights. May kuryenta na po kayo. Isa lamang po yan sa mga proyektong darating para sa inyong barangay”, Mayor Alice noted.

After the electrification program, Mayor Alice went to the Municipal Gymnasium for the Barangay Health Workers (BHW) monthly meeting. Future training programs to equip BHWs with knowledge and skills and delivery of primary health care services were part of the agenda that were discussed during the meeting.

Also during the day was the celebration of the 75th Lingayen Gulf Landings Anniversary and 13th Pangasinan Veterans’ Day held at the Veterans Memorial Park in Lingayen. Councior Leomar Saldivar represented the Local Government Unit of San Nicolas, Pangasinan .
