More than half of this day has been dedicated by Mayor Alice into visitations of projects and attending various events and celebrations being staged in the municipality.

Early on, Mayor Alice joined in the celebration of this year’s Nutrition Month at the San Nicolas National High School which aims to promote the consumption of healthy diets, increased physical activity, and reduced sedentary behavior through activities of daily living among individuals and families.

The yearly observation is being led by the National Nutrition Council and is particularly celebrated in the schools all over the country to promote the consumption of healthier foods and to discourage the eating of unhealthy foods among learners.

This year’s theme, “Kumain nang wasto at maging aktibo… Push natin ‘to!!” highlights the importance of good nutrition, healthy diet and healthy lifestyle among Filipinos.

In the afternoon , together with the town councilors, she dropped by the riverside of San Felipe West and met with fisherfolks, listened to them, and engaged in brainstorming process on how to increase productivity in their yield. Most of San Nicolanians who live on the riverside solely depend of fish cage farming for their source of income and although profitable it has become a capital intensive business among local folks. They asked the local government for support to further their livelihood.

It can be recalled that on July 26, these fisherfolks become a recipient of a 7.5 horsepower motor engine in aid of their fishfarming activity. The awarding of motor engines to fisherfolk sector of San Nicolas is a joint effort of the local government of San Nicolas and 6th District Congressman Tyrone Agabas.

Back to her office at the Municipal Building, Mayor Alice attended to various financial and medical requests. Five days earlier, Mayor Alice granted the release of wheelchairs to five recipients. She also met with OWWA officials who paid a courtesy call to her , Cong. Tyrone Agabas and VM Lorna Primicias .

Today, she also met with callers which include, among others, officials from the Provincial Health Office to initially plan out the scheduled Medical Mission in Brgy. Malico on August 9.
