Mayor Alice also communicated with all the Punong Barangays regarding the schedule of the distribution of relief goods. In each barangay, the municipal department heads will be accompanied by the Punong Barangay and BHW Leader in doing door-to-door distribution.
Thereupon, she convened with the Sangguniang Bayan members headed by Vice Mayor Alvin Bravo, in connection with the Executed Order on Travel Ban which is soon to be passed and the official market schedule that will take effect on Friday, March 27, 2020.
“Let us tell the people of San Nicolas to bring their quarantine pass in going to the public market. The official market schedule will soon be posted in our official facebook page and will be disseminated to every barangay,” she said.
At 4 o’clock in the afternoon, the municipal department heads, LGU employees, Punong Barangays and BHW leaders distributed relief packs to nine barangays of the town, namely: Cabuloan, Camangaan, Camindoroan, Calanutian, Malilion, Sto. Tomas, San Rafael Centro, San Rafael East and San Rafael West.
“We plead to our residents to be more patient and understanding in these crucial times because we are doing and strategizing all the means to provide the essential services to all,” she appealed.
Mayor Alice also made an inspection at the public market to make sure that social distancing is being implemented in order to control the number of people inside.
The Mayor, as usual, had an interface meeting with the new nurses deployed in the town under the Department of Health – Human Resources for Health (DOH-HRH), with regards to their daily COVID-19 monitoring report on PUIs, PUMs, and international and local arrivals.
Mayor Alice yet again spent the whole-day at her office by monitoring reports, planning the distribution of relief goods, and making additional guidelines and measures to curb the spread of COVID-19.
She also instructed the team to clean and brush the roads surrounding the market grounds, tricycle terminals, with the help of representative from the Bureau of Fire Protection of San Nicolas.
