The National Commission on Indigenous Peoples Community Service Center (NCIP CSC) will soon have a bigger office at the San Nicolas Municipal Complex after deciding to transfer from its office in Urdaneta City.
Starting February 13, 2023, the NCIP CSC will occupy the temporary DILG office which is now scheduled to transfer at the newly constructed ABC Hall.
NCIP noted San Nicolas as a more strategic and convenient place to provide accommodation to their indigenous peoples (IP) guests from far-flung barangays and towns and to service their other clients.
“The officers and representatives of NCIP and I have already finalized their decision to move here. As always, LGU San Nicolas will embrace and welcome them with open arms,” said Mayor Alice.
The local chief executive also expressed her appreciation to the NCIP for standing by the LGU in protecting the rights of its indigenous constituents.
As enabling partner and lead advocate, the NCIP envisions genuinely empowered Indigenous Cultural Communities/Indigenous Peoples (ICCs/IPs) whose rights and multi-dimensional well-being are fully recognized, respected and promoted towards the attainment of national unity and development.
