What was once a rough and dusty road in Sitio Talingkapor, Brgy. Sta. Maria East, is now concreted and much easier to navigate, bringing more convenience and accessibility to the residents and visitors of the area.

Through the collaborative efforts of Cong. Marlyn “Len” Primicias-Agabas and the local government unit of San Nicolas headed by Mayor Alicia Primicias-Enriquez, the project has transformed the previously unpaved and dirt-covered route into a smooth, concrete pathway, greatly improving transportation, enhancing safety, and fostering economic opportunities for the residents of the area.

This newly cemented road, spanning 276 meters in length and 5meters in width, was completed last Thursday, February 20, and was inspected by Mayor Alicia Primicias-Enriquez, accompanied by Engr. Edwin Patetico.

Engineer Patetico stated that the project will undergo a 28-day curing period to enhance its durability and impermeability, thereby preventing shrinkage and damage.

Mayor Alicia Primicias-Enriquez expressed, “Roads are vital infrastructures that facilitate the delivery of various services and programs, significantly improving the lives of our constituents, especially those in remote communities. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Cong. Marlyn Primicias-Agabas for her unwavering support to our people by helping us with this concrete gift of labor and love.”

It can be noted that in 2020, the initial phase saw the concreting of a significant portion of the road, setting the foundation for future developments. The project gained momentum in 2021, with further improvements made which focused on enhancing the infrastructure to better serve the increasing traffic and the needs of the local population. Fast forward to 2025, the commitment to improving Sitio Talingkapor Road continued with the concreting of the remaining portion.
