Since the beginning of Mayor Alice’s tenure as Local Chief Executive, the flag ceremony time has been adjusted from 8:00 A.M. to 7:30 A.M. every Monday. That said activity was started earlier in order not to eat so much time for office work. The program is very simple. It starts with an opening prayer, singing of the National Anthem, Panunumpa ng Kawani ng Gobyerno, singing of Pangasinan Hymn, administrative announcements, the message of the Local Chief Executive and the Legislative.

The Boy Scouts of The Philippines spearheaded the November 4 Flag Raising Ceremony. One of the highlights of the flag ceremony was the donning of Scout neckerchief to Mayor Alice and all members of the Sangguniang Bayan. This was facilitated by Ms. Lorna Bue, Principal of San Roque ANP School. Mayor Alice in her speech, thanked the Boy Scout of the Philippines and assures them of her support.

Also, Mayor Alice thanked those who contributed to the success of All Saints’ Day celebration and also to the success of Vanjoss Bayaban, the Pride of Pangasinan and the new The Voice Kids Champion who garnered 62.11% votes. It can be recalled that the Mayor appealed in her Facebook Page, to all her supporters to vote for Vanjoss for The Voice Kids Fourth Season GrandFinals. The support she got was overwhelming with her post reaching 174,000 people and 675 shares.

Afterwhich was the Awarding of certificate of recognition to the Municipality of San Nicolas, Pangasinan from National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP), for its support in ensuring the representation of the ICCs/IPs in the local legislative body through the Indigenous People Mandatory Representative (IPMR) . The certificate was handed by NCIP Provincial Chief Dr. Enrique Delos Santos.

Under Mayor Alice’s Administration, innovations included in the Flag Raising Ceremony were the inclusion of entertaining dance numbers. This sparked the idea of having fun through the presentations of the employees for every department. It has become an avenue for discovering talents among the employees. Surprisingly, the different departments do not fall short of quality presentation which inspire the employees in performing their duties and responsibilities for the people of San Nicolas.

There is a common parlance that starting the day right will yield good vibes.
