Mayor Alice convened Team Pagbabago yet again to plan their approaches and assign responsibilities for the tasks for the remaining days of the week. It has been the agreement among members of the team to divide the tasking based on their specific assignment and expertise in order to address the problems confronting the local government on a micro level.
The mayor also met with all Barangay Health Workers to ask for their help with the skills mapping program of the Department of Labor and Employment in partnership with the local government of San Nicolas.
The Skills Mapping Project aims to allow effective employment facilitation service in matching available jobs and skills requirement for the labor market. Under the project, DOLE will put up skills registration center in San Nicolas for the purpose of maintaining an updated registry of their available workforce. This will serve as baseline data for labor market policy planners, employment service providers, training and education providers, employers and potential investors.
Also, a registered jobseeker’s qualifications will be downloaded to the internet, through Phil-JobNet, an automated and job matching system, which is beneficial to the jobseeker.
Around 4pm , Mayor Alice together with Vice Mayor Alvin Bravo visited Brgy. Casaratan to personally check the road repair currently being done in the area.
