The start of the work week, as usual, was led by Mayor Alice with members of the Sangguniang Bayan spearheaded by Vice Mayor Alvin Bravo. With them are barangay captains and employees belonging to various departments of the local government and representatives of national agencies such as the DILG, PNP, BFP, and the Comelec—all standing before the majestic façade of San Nicolas Municipal Building completed for barely 2 months of Mayor Alice’s assumption.

This week’s flag-raising ceremony was also joined by the Special Operations Unit of the Philippine Coast Guard Northwestern Luzon Command headed by Chief Petty Officer Arthur Alvaro. With them are selected trainees from various schools and barangays of the town who would undergo a 5-day training on Water Search And Rescue and Rescue Boat Operation and Maintenance (WASAR-RBOM).

Vice Mayor Alvin Bravo, in a report during the ceremony, said that the Municipal Council has already passed various resolutions in aid to various development projects of the Executive Department including the facelift and promotion of tourism areas in order to help in the economy by generating jobs and livelihood opportunities.

Mayor Alice, for her part, had asked the employees to be always enthusiastic and be on their toes in serving the people of San Nicolas “so we can put credence to the essence of our being here.”

After the ceremony, Mayor Alice attended the giving of financial and medical assistance before proceeding to Krystala De Corazon Resort and Waterparks for the opening ceremonies of the WASAR-RBOM training wherein she motivated the participants to be persistent in learning the rescuing tactics and techniques because it will come handy when the time comes.

Back to her office, she attended to various courtesy calls not wasting any moment to listen to the predicaments being aired by her constituents and, in the process, immediately work for its solution.
