The Department of Agriculture–Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization (DA-PhilMech) turned over various rice machinery to two Farmer Associations in San Nicolas.

Under the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund Mechanization Program (RCEF), the CSRPN Irrigators Associatio, Inc. received one unit of Rice Combine Harvester and one unit of Four-wheel Tractor while the CASAFI Ambayaoan Irrigators, Inc. received one unit of Four-wheel Tractor.

Mayor Alicia L. Primicias-Enriquez and Vice Mayor Alvin O. Bravo led the turnover and awarding of rice machineries to the farmer-associations.”Sometimes, we can’t avoid mismanagement and misunderstanding in an association. I hope you continue to cooperate and support each other to avoid letting your organization fall apart. These entrusted materials are not for personal use; it’s for your community, for every member. Take care of it as you thrive for it,” Mayor Alice said in her message.Meanwhile, Mayor Alice extended her genuine gratitude to the DA-PhilMech, Secretary William Dar and Congressman Tyrone Agabas for their significant programs for the rice farmers of San Nicolas. Rice mechanization is one of the components of Republic Act No. 11203 or the Rice Tariffication Law, which stipulates the creation of the RCEF that would be funded from rice tariffs collections, with P10 billion allocation annually from 2019 to 2024 or a period of six years. Also in attendance were members of the Sangguniang Bayan, OIC Agriculturist Adonis Bañaga, and the members of the two farmer-associations.#InSupportToOurLocalFarmers #MabuhayAngMgaMagsasaka#RCEFMechanizationProgram #DAPhilMech#ThankYouSecDar #ThankYouCongAgabas#MayorAliciaPrimiciasEnriquezYourPublicServant#SanNicolasPangasinanMyHomeMyPride
