Mayor Alice was up very early and engrossed herself reading various papers and reports which were part of the voluminous documents including the COA report of some of its findings such as the P33 Million overdraft of the previous administration.

Later in the morning, the Mayor met and conferred with Fire Inspector Jeanette Fariñas and her team at the Bureau of Fire Protection and various department heads which include MSWD Officer Delia Dalutag and San Nicolas Public Schools District Supervisor, Dr. Leilani Malicdem.

Mayor Alice also met and conversed with Barangay Captains and indulged in an initial brainstorming on priority services for the barangays. Later on until late in the afternoon, she made rounds of inspection at the school grounds, Municipal covered gym and the neglected canal in front of it, Rural Health Center, areas along the perimeter of the Municipal complex which now houses some equipment of the town that were left unattended, MSWD Office, and the Municipality-run Negosyo Center.

Of all the offices which were visited and inspected, Mayor Alice, a doctor and nurse by profession, was too upset by the state of the Rural Health Center which she said should be addressed soonest to better the healthcare services of the town to all San Nicolanians. A stockpile of expired medicines kept at the RHU stockroom got the ire of Mayor Alice on her visit and pointed out to the RHU personnel that those medicines should better have been donated than let it expired there.

“Too many things that have to be attended to and fixed but one at a time, one at a time,” the Mayor noted.
